toyota avensis

Toyota's third-generation Avensis sedan has a difficult task ahead of it: Compete with midsize four-door entries like the Ford Mondeo and the Open Insignia, the wagon of which is also making its debut at the Paris motor show.
The Avensis, which was designed in France and will continue to be built in England, comes in sedan and wagon bodystyles. Unlike the outgoing model (whose platform underpinned the Scion tC), there's no five-door Avensis -- at least for now. Safety will be a priority on the new Avensis with Toyota offering Steering-assist Vehicle Stability Control, adaptive headlights, and Pre-Crash Safety System. These safety systems are probably part of the "enhanced equipment levels" Toyota says the new flagship European sedan will bring. Toyota says Avensis engines will be more powerful and emit less CO2, although the automaker has yet to release more details. The second-generation Avensis is offered with five different engines, three diesel and two gas.
